Types of Wedding Planning Services
Full Planning Services
If you’re looking for a wedding wiz to help you every step of the way, then hiring a full-time professional may be the right option for you. Full wedding planning services include both management of pre-wedding preparation and executing day of coordination. This is also a great option for the bride and groom to plan an intricate event.
Although this service level will certainly alleviate the most stress, it’s also the most costly. Should your budget allow it, full wedding planning services will assist in almost all of the wedding day details.
Responsibilities of Full Wedding Planning Services Include:
Tracking budget
Vendor recommendations and contract review
Attend appointments related to the event
Creating wedding design
Tracking RSVPs
Creating the seating chart
Setting up for the ceremony and reception
Day of coordination details
Partial Planning Services
Many wedding planning firms also offer partial planning services, which limit the number of services provided. This is a great option for a more low-key affair or if a full-time planner is unnecessary (may be a good option for us Type A girls!). With a lower tier of services provided, partial planning is also more cost-efficient than the full level.
Partial planning services include standard responsibilities that are either packaged by the planner or selected by the client. For example, with partial planning, the coordinator may be responsible for the decor and design, but you may need to research and select which vendors to use.
Day of Coordination
Since no bride wants to be bothered on her big day, the almost necessary option is day of coordination. This person or team is responsible for executing details about the rehearsal, ceremony, and reception. The coordinator is on-site throughout the entire affair to ensure organization and to deal with any issues that may arise.
Responsibilities of Day Of Coordination Include:
Creating a wedding day itinerary
Ensuring that all events occur based on the timeline created
Coordination of ceremony and reception
Distribute payments and gratuities to wedding vendors
Clean up the reception area
